Overload

Here are some pictures of our cute little guy.  They are off of my phone. These are random pictures that I have taken over the past year. Our poor little guy has went from 2 ear infections, to a severe allergic reaction to some medicine to pink eye.  Oh and throw in there his teething (which one has come through) and that about rounds us out.  WAIT not to forget both Brett and I have been sick.  Brett is in the middle of transitioning to a new employer :)

This year we went to Brett's dad's house for Thanksgiving.  We were all there. It was fun to be surrounded with family.  I am a slacker and didn't get any pictures on Thanksgiving.  We did go and have pie at my parents house that night.

My mom and I did the black Friday thing and all I have to say is NEVER NEVER NEVER again will I do that.  To me it wasn't worth it at all.

To top it all off my little guy was sick :( He started not feeling well a couple of days before the holiday, so off to the doctor I take him to find out he has 2 ear infections.  They put him on an antibiotic and in the midst of it all he got a COLD of all things.  So needless to say he still isn't quite up to par.  All caused by teeth.  I will be SO glad when they come in.

The doctor's office did weigh him and measure him at his non wellness check.
Weight: 24 lbs
Height: 31.5 inch
Head: 19 in.

The little man has grown 2.5 inches in about 3 months.  No wonder he was up  screaming all of those nights.  I swear it will be a miracle when he starts sleeping ALL night.  He still wakes up once during the night for a drink and then he drifts back to sleep.  He is going to bed much earlier then he was.  He is now in bed by 8 PM and he has to be in his crib, which is going to be interesting when I go to Texas for a week in Feb he will b e staying with my Mom while I am away.

We are so glad that the Holiday's are here.  I even have my tree up and my house is decorated for Christmas.  This is the FIRST time in 12 years that Brett has let me put the tree up before Dec 1.

Halloween

This year Ashton was a Turtle.  He LOVED getting candy from people, he would even take 3 or 4 if the people would let him.  Let's just way we have more candy then we really want.  He is now walking EVERYWHERE and loving it, I am not sure Dusty likes it, Sadie is fine with it.  He is now learning how to say please, thank you and Sadie.

Walking

Yep, you read right, he is now walking, he started about a week ago walking just a little but still crawling, now we are more walking then crawling. The dogs hate this new venture we are on. They freak out when he starts coming towards them, it's really kinda funny.

Update

I know it's been a while since I posted the last time. Life has been crazy to say the least. Ashton decided he was going to get a while mouth full of teeth at once.  In 2 weeks he had gotten 9 teeth. There has been lots of sleepless nights in our house.  The worst happened last week when Ashton started running a fever of 104 and we were trying everything to get it to break.  I took him to the doctor and they said he had a double ear infection. They put him on some medicine thinking that would break the fever and it didn't.  The only other thing we could do is take him to the er. By this time it was Friday.  We decided not to take him to the er and just see if we could get some liquid down him.  Brett gave him a fathers blessing and within about 20 minutes his fever broke.  Thank goodness I have a priesthood holder in my home.  Come to find out, Ashton had a nasty virus, 2 ear infections and teething.  He has been one miserable little man.  He is now doing TONS better and we are all getting some sleep.

Sadie was trying to comfort her little buddy.  Nobody can say she doesn't love him.
He LOVES the lawnmower and he decided to climb on the one at my dad's house
Just enjoying the ice cream sandwich my mom had given him.
Playing in a sandbox at a bbq we were at.

Bikes and Teeth

This is Ashton's bike that he got for his birthday from Papa Lee and Nana Tera.  He loves is, it has all the bells and whistles on it. He likes to steer his bike and have the blinkers go off.  On a side note he has been way fussy, had a runny nose, a little cough, his eyes have been watering oh and lets not forget the drool or the lack of sleep for everyone in our house.  Well last night while we were playing in the backyard he let me have a peek in his mouth and I found what I thought was happening, I thought he was trying to cut some teeth.  I thought he was trying to cut his bottom teeth, but boy was I wrong.  Upon seeing in this little man's mouth I discovered that his bottom gums on the left were swollen like a couple are getting ready to come through and there on the top in the BACK of his mouth was a MOLAR that had cut.  I was shocked.  No wonder he has been so miserable lately.   He has also learned how to pull himself up on the furniture and walk along it ONLY if he wants to. He is now know as the destructor in our home.  He was make a mess in a heartbeat and is usually good at helping me pick things up.  He loves any book or magazine that has a pup pup in it( that is what he calls our dogs).  He has also become best friends with Dusty, the other night he took away Dusty's bone he was chewing on to give it to Sadie.  I guess it made the blow less for Dusty since Ashton was laughing the whole entire time.

The best was last night, we were at my parent's house and my dad was trying to get Ashton to share a gold fish with him, so my dad starts opening and closing his had telling Ashton that he wanted a fish, at first Ashton would take the fish and pound it in my dad's hand but he would never release the fish, well all of the sudden after the fifth time of my dad opening and shutting his had Ashton just looked at him and said bye bye and waving at the same time.  We busted up laughing,
We sure do love this little guy he brings so much joy into our lives.

12 Months

I was really frustrated with Ashton's doctor and so I decided to switch to just our family doctor and I LOVE IT.  They are so nice and Ashton loves everyone over there.  Our appointment went great.  This is the FIRST time in 6 months that I haven't gotten an lecture on his eating habbits or his weight. The doctor could tell that he is a VERY active little boy.  She wants me to try him on 2% milk since he doesn't seem like he is a big fan of whole milk. She also told me what a great mom I am, it was nice to hear since sometimes I wonder if I am doing things right.  Ashton got 3 shots and only cried for about 3 seconds until the nurse gave him a sucker.  He LOVES the nurses at this new place.  His head hasn't grown, or if it has then the old doctor got it wrong. The doctor told me that is going to be long and lean. I am okay with that until I have to buy two different sizes of clothes.

Birthday!

 Look at me
 Want some?
Our little Ashton man is ONE.  I can't believe how fast the past year has went.  He made quite the hall for a one year old. We had a little party for him on Saturday.  He was so tired by the time it ended.  He sure did get spoiled by his grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and of course me and Brett.  We are so glad that we have this little guy in our lives.  He sure does make things an adventure.
